I can’t seem to get motivated! OR Why can’t I just do what I know I should do? Is this you? I have a secret for you: Motivation does not exist without first taking action with no guarantee of succeeding. Only when you have taken consistent action and begin to see some type of result, will you be motivated! Motivation is a byproduct of discipline. It is like going to school in order to get a degree, you don’t get the degree THEN go to school do you? Replace the word “motivation” for DISCIPLINE. Discipline is defined as doing what you SHOULD do, WHEN you should do it, whether you like it or not. Zig Ziglar says, “When you do the things you need to do when you need to do them, the day will come when you can do the things you want to do when you want to do them.”
That said, you make the decision to lose weight, lead a healthy lifestyle, start exercising, stop eating junk foods, whatever the case may be. Is this enough? Will the “wish” alone propel you to your goal? Unfortunately not. If you are like most, you have said this to yourself a million times. Are you waiting for conditions to be perfect or or some ONE, or something to motivate or inspire you? Do you start and then quit once it gets tough and you have yet to see results? Do you need a trainer to guide you and push you? Do you need more information? Do you need an accountability partner or workout buddy? Whatever you need to get going, GET IT AND START MOVING!

Get the information you need, put your gym clothes in your car, schedule your workouts into your week, resolve to stick to your diet, and get going today. Keep going even when it gets tough, then BAM! One day you see results…NOW you are motivated!
